Cory J. Walter Jones, age 27, began his spiritual journey on September 8, 2015 in Deer River, Minnesota. Cory was born to Veronica Jones and Robert Brown on April 28, 1988 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Cory loved to be with his family. He was a good dad who loved his children very much. Cory really enjoy listening to music, hanging out with his friends and playing basketball. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.

Cory is proceeded in death by his mother; Veronica Jones, brothers; Jesse and Pete Jones, and grandparents; Rose Jones and Merrel LaRose.

He is survived by his father; Robert Brown of Cass Lake, son; Anthony Gotchie of Cass Lake, daughter; Lilly Jones of Cass Lake, brothers; Robert, Dwight and John Jones all of Cass Lake, sisters; Roxanne and Dawna Jones both of Cass Lake.

A wake for Cory will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12th and will continue until his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14th all being held at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cass Lake. Pallbearers for Cory will be Anthony Lee, Sidney Harrison, Ryan Staples, Jason Hart, Chris Barrett, and Tim Adams. His honorary pallbearers are Robert Brown, Robert Jones, Dwight Jones, John Jones, Joe Carmona, and Frank LaRose. Interment will be in the LaRose-Jones Cemetery at Cass Lake following his Monday service.
