Bemidji, Minn. – The 11th Annual Beltrami Electric Touchstone Energy® Open was held August 21 at Castle Highlands Golf Course, and raised over $8,600 for the United Way of the Bemidji Area. The annual tournament is the United Way's largest fundraising event.
"For the 11th straight year, we are so thankful for the support that our members and friends provide us in order to raise funds for the United Way", said Cammie Vogel, Beltrami Electric's campaign coordinator.
Approximately 100 local and regional businesses sponsor this tournament each year. Beltrami Electric Cooperative thanks these businesses, the 140 golfers and the tournament volunteers on behalf of the United Way. The 12th annual event is scheduled for August 19, 2016.
Beltrami Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative located in Bemidji, Minn. Established in 1940, Beltrami Electric provides power to almost 17,000 member-owners within a 3,000 square mile service area located in the lakes region of north-central Minnesota.
