DATA ENTRY CLERK

GINIW WAAKAA'IGAN

DIVISION OF REHABILITATION SERVICES

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To operate key entry devices to record and verify data for entry into a computer system; to perform clerical and filing work and do related worked as required. Reports to Program Director, full-time position with benefits, salary DOQ.

ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Enters and retrieves data from automated and manual record keeping systems; reviews input source documents for completeness and correctness; reviews output source documents for correctness and reconciles as required

• Files and sorts incoming source documents and controls flow of source documents

• Verifies and applies codes to source document material

• Produces summary source documents from automated system

• Performs clerical task such as mail distribution, typing labels, and forms

• Develops and implements procedures to conform with policy changes

• Keeps a variety of numerical information in logs

• Prepares routine and special reports after compiling numerical information

• Prepares reports in final format by assisting in preparation to fulfill granting requirements and use in internal management

• Completes data entry into the Statistical Management Program relating to consumer profile, status progression and employment achievement

• Completes purchase orders upon Director approved case service obligation reports, receiving necessary billing/payment information to process accordingly and tracks case service expenditures data

• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• GED/High School diploma

• One year experience in related field

• Knowledge of methods and problems of operating data entry equipment

• Knowledge of general clerical procedures

• Ability to make comparison and calculations rapidly and accurately

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

• Exceptional computer skills/knowledge – proficient in Excel – Microsoft Office

• Demonstrated knowledge in human service systems commonly used by people with disabilities, cross-disability communication mannerisms as well as a working knowledge of medical social and psychological aspects of disabilities

• Employment contingent on successfully passing pre-employment background check and alcohol/drug test
