DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL SALLY QUILLIAN YATES AND ACTING ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY GENERAL STUART F. DELERY TO VISIT FOUR CORNERS REGION

WASHINGTON – Deputy Attorney General Sally Quillian Yates and Acting Associate Attorney General Stuart F. Delery will travel to Ignacio, Colorado, to participate in the 23rd Annual Four Corners Indian Country Conference on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26, 2015. They will meet with tribal leaders, law enforcement, victim advocates and service providers and youth and discuss the Justice Department’s latest efforts to strengthen public safety and protect the civil rights of the American Indian and Alaska Native people.

The Four Corners Conference is sponsored each year by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah and the Department’s Office for Victims of Crime. It is a forum for collaboration on the needs of crime victims in Indian Country throughout the Southwest and includes a broad range of law enforcement and victim assistance professionals at the federal, tribal, state and local level. This year’s conference theme is “Supporting Native Victims Through Trauma Towards Healing,” and is being hosted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado.
