Council members call for investigation of former tribal chairman

BISMARCK — A request by the Three Affiliated Tribes council for a federal investigation into former tribal chairman Tex Hall took another step forward Tuesday.

Three tribal council members, acting as a judicial committee, approved a resolution proposed by Citizens for Change that will be presented to the full council at its meeting Sept. 2.

The resolution calls for the U.S. Attorney to investigate Hall’s financial relationship with a man facing federal murder-for-hire charges and the former chairman’s potential abuse of tribal trust.
