AUTO RACING: Smith, Larson, Berg, Jonson, Schmidt all win at Bemidji Speedway on Sunday

BEMIDJI — The WISSOTA Modifieds joined the regular field of Minis, Outlaw Mini Mods and WISSOTA Pures, Mod Fours, Midwest Mods and Superstocks on Sunday at Bemidji Speedway.

On a day highlighted by strong races, the racing family in Bemidji also passed the helmet in the pits and grandstand in support for the families of Andy Davey and Dylan Miller, whose parents were killed in a tragic car accident last week following a race in the St. Cloud area. In the end, $1,275.00 was raised and will be given to the families.

After this past weekend of racing, just two regular season race nights remain with many points races to tight to call. Also next Sunday are “Box Car” races, where kids can bring their own box car creations down on track and races for awards.
