BEMIDJI OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN TESTING

The City of Bemidji’s new outdoor warning siren system installation has been completed and the new system is in service. To ensure proper programming and all equipment is operating as intended, there will be several siren activations taking place on Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 at approximately 1PM. The sirens will sound at least three times as all activation methods are tested. If any issues are discovered, additional activations may be needed.

Residents can expect a larger coverage area with the new siren system with improved technology at the six existing siren locations and two additional siren sites. Sirens will NOT be tested across the entire county, only in the City of Bemidji.
