harles "Satch" Frederick Beaulieu, 59, of Red Lake, MN died on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 17, 2015 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake, Minnesota with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. Visitation will be begin at noon on Sunday, August 16th at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and will continue until the time of the funeral on Monday. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on May 20, 1956 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of William Strong and Marian Monica Beaulieu. He attended school at St. Mary's Mission School in Red Lake and graduated from Red Lake High School in 1974. He enlisted with the US Army in 1974, and served at the end of the Vietnam War in Germany. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sgt. In 1977. He worked in Housekeeping at the Red Lake IHS Hospital after his discharge from the Army for many years until his resignation. He was a lifelong resident of Red Lake and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, word finds, gambling at the casino. He loved to dance and especially loved spending time with his friends and family. He had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews

Satch is survived by his 4 sisters, Candace "Candy" Beaulieu of Red Lake, MN, Celeste Beaulieu of Red Lake, Bernadine "Deanie" Bailey of Red Lake, and Glennis Dudley of Bemidji; 2 brothers, Owen Beaulieu of Red Lake and Junior Jones; 3 Aunts, Melvina Johnson, Rosemary Mountain and Caroline Olivas; an uncle Ivan Yellow; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Karen White and Salena Beasley and a special nephew, Verdell Beaulieu.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marian Beaulieu, and William Strong; grandparents, Joe and Mary Strong and Martha Yellow; great grandparents, Charles F. Beaulieu and Carrie Beaulieu; special uncle, Theodore "Teddy" Beaulieu; brother, Verdell T. Beaulieu; sister Nora Thunder; and a special great nephew, Sheldon White.

Active Casketbearers will be Damien Thunder, Vincent White, Sr,, George White, Christopher Beaulieu, Verdell Beaulieu, Jr., Dax Anderson, Kevin Cook, Jr., Duane Cook, Jr., Verdell Cook, Charles Colhoff, Justin Smith, and Craig Smith.
