Tribal members push for federal investigation into Hall 1 Print Email

Some members of the Three Affiliated Tribes are calling for a federal investigation into former tribal chairman Tex Hall’s oil business dealings and took a resolution to that effect to the tribal council meeting Tuesday.

The council referred the resolution to its judicial committee for legal review and possible action next month, said Nelson Bird Bear, member of Citizens for Change.

The group wants the council to bring the U.S. attorney, federal Department of Justice, the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service into matters involving Hall’s financial relationship with a man facing federal charges for murder for hire and Hall’s potential abuse of tribal trust.
