Grand Opening Ceremonies for the new Red Lake Nation Capitol Today

Includes a new Government Center, Red Lake Nation College, Powwow Grounds, and Veterans Memorial

 

Chairman Darrell G. Seki Sr. and the Red Lake Tribal Council cordially invites everyone to the Grand Opening Ceremonies of the new Red Lake Nation Capitol, which includes a new Government Center, Red Lake Nation College, Powwow Grounds, and Veterans Memorial.

The week long celebration begins on Monday, August 17, 2015. Many local, state and federal elected officials are expected to attend on. Congressman Collin Peterson has confirmed, and Governor Mark Dayton is scheduled to be there.

Monday, beginning at 9 a.m ., features ribbon cuttings, mini-powwow, US Military F-16 flyover, and Live bald eagles, complimenting the eagle designs on the twin buildings which will make the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest eagle sculptures.

Tuesday is Culture, Language and Elder Day, Wednesday is Red Lake History & Education Day, Thursday is Earth & Tech Day, Friday is Celebrate Life Day and the first day of the three-day Red Lake Fair and Powwow.
