Former Tulalip Tribes co-director faces criminal charges over alleged illegal crab and shrimp trafficking

The former co-director of the Tulalip Tribes fisheries and wildlife division is facing criminal charges for allegedly trafficking in crab and shrimp, reports HeraldNet.com.

Fifty-one-year-old Joe Hatch was arrested in late July and resigned from his tribal post five days later, on the 29th.

He is part of a larger investigation by the Washington state Department of Fish and Wildlife and the tribes into the illegal sale of shellfish. His son, Joseph Hatch Junior, was also arrested.
