Dream It. Do It. Minnesota receives funding for Statewide Tour of Manufacturing

Bemidji, MN—Dream It. Do It. Minnesota recently received $15,000 to support the Statewide Tour of Manufacturing.

Pro Staff and Ware Technology Services are staffing and recruiting firms that are members of the Atterro family of brands. Pro Staff specializes in administrative and light industrial and Ware Technology Services specializes in engineering. They provided a $5,000 sponsorship. This is their second year supporting the statewide tour.

Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association provided a $5,000 sponsorship to support travel costs for schools and promoting the statewide tour. They have supported the statewide tour since 2012.

The Manufacturing Institute awarded Dream It. Do It. Minnesota a $5,000 microgrant to support the tour. These funds were available through a generous grant from the Toyota USA Foundation.

“We appreciate the support from Pro Staff and Ware Technology Services, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association and the Manufacturing Institute to support the statewide tour. Through this statewide event, we are able to reach students, families and community members to highlight advanced manufacturing in their home towns,” states Jaimee Meyer, executive director of Dream It. Do It. Minnesota.

The statewide tour has taken place since 2011, inviting the public, including families, job seekers, schools and community groups, to experience firsthand how people make the things we use every day. Minnesota manufacturers make snowmobiles, construction equipment, airplane parts, military technology, life-saving medical devices, baseball bats, wooden toys and more, providing more than 300,000 jobs across the state.

The tour is also supported by Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
