Red Lake Tribal Headquarters Bulletin - Business with Walmart

This statement was taken from the Red Lake Tribal Headquarters Bulletin on August 11, 2015

Due to the recent high rate of fraudulent checks being cashed at Walmart, we received notification that WALMART will no longer accept business from the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians charge account effective immediately.

All tribal programs may no longer charge on the tribes account, they will no longer honor our purchase orders or cash ANY CHECK THAT HAS RED LAKE BAND OF CHIPPEWA INDIANS on it. They also do not accept tribal identification to cash other checks.

The Red Lake Band will be using Target to accommodate the tribal programs purchases, especially with the upcoming back to school season.
