JONESBORO, Ark. — The Bemidji Northern Heat 10-year-olds took an early 1-0 lead in its second game of the Cal Ripken Baseball World Series, but it didn’t stick as the team, lost 11-1 Monday.
The Northern Heat (1-1) got a leadoff single from Ethan Biehn, who later scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Hunter Brodina, to help take a 1-0 lead heading into the bottom of the first inning.
