Wellness through the Arts is a week-long series of workshops, presentations and events facilitated by Kairos Alive! to draw awareness to the power of Participatory Art Making and its positive influence on individual and community wellness. 2015 marks a second year of offering this event thanks to an “Arts and Community Wellbeing” grant from the Mardag Foundation to support collaboration between the Bemidji Participatory Arts Collective and Kairos Alive!
This week-long series brings together community members, leaders, service providers, and artists to collectively explore the potential for engaged arts-based programming in the care and inclusion of people across all ages and abilities. It is part of a larger Bemidji-based initiative by the Participatory Arts Collective, a group dedicated to fostering inclusive and engaging art-making for everyone, especially those who are differently-abled.
