Former tribal chairman, son arrested following April drug raid

PETOSKEY — A Petoskey man is facing a host of drug-related charges stemming from an investigation in which he is accused of using the U.S. Postal Service as part of his alleged distribution of the drugs ecstasy and LSD.

The charges follow a search warrant that police executed at a home at the corner of Franklin and Bridge streets in Petoskey on April 20.

Jonathan Frederick Harrington, 20, of Petoskey turned himself in at the Emmet County Jail on Friday after earlier in the week the Emmet County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office authorized charges of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine/ecstasy, a 20-year felony, delivery/manufacture of LSD, a seven-year felony; possession of a controlled substance, less than 25 grams, a four-year felony; maintaining a drug house, a two-year high court misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a one-year misdemeanor. His bond was set at $25,000 case or surety.
