HELENA, Mont. (AP) - An 18-year-old man accused of shooting a family that stopped to give him roadside assistance is in federal custody in Montana.
U.S. marshals brought Jesus Deniz to Billings from Park County, Wyoming, for an initial court hearing Friday on murder charges. Police arrested Deniz on Wednesday near Meeteetse (muh-TEET'-see), 120 miles from the shooting on the Crow Indian Reservation.
Deniz and a public defender appeared at the brief hearing where the defendant told a magistrate judge that he had reviewed the charges against him.
