Minnesota traffic fatalities surpass 200 for the year

ST. PAUL -- After reporting the lowest number of traffic deaths since 1944 last year, 201 people have lost their lives on Minnesota roads so far this year.

That’s a 21 percent increase compared with 166 deaths this time last year

Driver inattention/distraction is quickly becoming the No. 1 contributing factor to multiple vehicle traffic deaths, surpassing speed.
