Bemidji man sentenced to seven years for burglary, assault

BEMIDJI—A Bemidji man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for his part in an armed home invasion in Wilton in December.

Brett King, 21, was convicted of one count of felony first-degree burglary in possession of a dangerous weapon and two counts of felony second-degree assault in Beltrami County District Court on May 11. King pleaded guilty to the charges in March.

King was sentenced to four years in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for the burglary charge. He was sentenced consecutively to two concurrent, three-year prison terms for the assault charges. King has been credited with 133 days time served and must pay $150 in fines.
