Men charged in December home invasion in Wilton enter pleas

WILTON -- A Bemidji man and a Cass Lake man charged in a Wilton home invasion in December have entered pleas in Beltrami County District Court.

Brett King, 21, of Bemidji pleaded guilty to one count of felony first-degree burglary in possession of a dangerous weapon and two felony second-degree assault charges on March 30. A first-degree burglary charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $35,000 fine. Each assault charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine with a mandatory minimum of three years.
