Tribal officials plead guilty to theft charge

FAIRBANKS — Two former officers of an Alaska tribal government advocacy group pleaded guilty today to stealing funds from the organization, according to the office of U.S. Attorney for the District of Alaska.

Steven D. Osborne and Thomas R. Purcell were indicted in August 2013 for stealing a combined amount of more than $27,000 from the Alaska Inter-Tribal Council in 2008 and 2009.
