Crookson hands Lady Warriors 2nd loss of season, 55-42 - P18

RED LAKE, MN - Missed shots and too many turnovers on the night, allowed the Crookston Pirates to come into Lady Warrior territory and hand them their second loss on the season, 55-42.

Crookston's defense only allowed Red Lake's top gun, Grace White, to connect for just 12 points, while Alexis Desjarlait hit for 11 and Samantha Roy 10.

Red Lake could only score 18 in the first half and trailed the Pirates by 9 points at the half 27-18.

The Lady Warriors came to within 2 at the 6 minute mark in the second half, but a run by Crookston put them back up by 10.

Crookston slowed up the pace at that point, and although Red Lake had opportunities, they just couldn't overcome the deficit.

Grace White led Red Lake with 12, Alexis Desjarlait added 11, Samantha Roy put in 10, Kennidy Barrett had 5 and Tatianna McClain added 4.

Sydney Boike led all scores with 22 points for Crookston and Elisa Samuelson had 18.

The Red Lake JV also fell to the Pirates, 57-25 earlier.

The girls are now 19-2 on the season and will host Kelliher-Northome on Tuesday, Feb. 10th, and will host Lake of the Woods on Thursday, Feb. 12th.
