Lady Warriors move to 22-2 with 67-42 win over Blackduck

Now tied with boys for best season record ever

RED LAKE, MN - The Lady Warriors jumped out to a 5-0 lead right away, and used the full court press and fast-break offense to take a 47-13 lead at the half, and cruise to the 67-42 win.

Junior Averi Holthusen needed 30 points to reach the 1000-point milestone, but came up just 11 points short. She will have that opportunity when Red Lake hosts Walker-Hackensack-Akley on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, which is also their last game of the season before the playoffs begin.

Holthusen led all scores with 19 points on the night, followed by Grace White with 18, Alexis Desjarlait with 13, Tatianna McClain with 10, Kennedy Barrett 5 and Sydney Beaulieu with 2.

Michialo Sparby had 13 for Blackduck.

The Lady Warriors have a chance to beat the current school season record held by the boys with a record of 22-2 if they win their last game as they host Walker-Hackensack-Akley on February 24th.
