Cass Lake-Bena beats Walker/Hackensack/Akeley to end regular season

CASS LAKE — It was tight at first, but the Cass Lake-Bena High School’s boys basketball team pulled away late to beat Walker/Hackensack/Akeley 64-48 Thursday.

The Panthers (21-5) and Wolves (12-13) went into halftime at 27-24 with CLB holding the slim advantage.

But Alvin Wind and the Panthers proved to be too much for WHA.
