Police find BSU student lying outside in snow

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on January 18th, 2015, the Bemidji Police Department, along with members of Bemidji Ambulance, and Bemidji Fire Department responded to a report of an unresponsive female who was found lying in the snow outside a residence in the 1600 block of Calihan Avenue.

When officers arrived they discovered an unresponsive female who was breathing. The females clothing was wet and there were indications that she had been lying outside in the snow for a substantial period of time. The Bemidji Fire Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office arrived and assisted with care until the female was transported to Sanford Medical Center of Bemidji.

The female is identified as Hannah Rolschau, age 19, of Zimmerman, MN.

Alcohol may have been a factor and this case remains under investigation as the Bemidji Police Department detectives continue to collect information and develop a time line of events.
