SAINT PAUL, MINN. –( November 18, 2014) – The St. Paul Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the St. Paul Police Foundation announced today that media are invited to get an up-close look at what it takes to set up Holiday Lights in the Park, the Midwest’s largest nightly Holiday light display. Holiday Lights in the Park will run nightly from November 25 to January 1. Visitors will drive through the park and enjoy more than 60 themed displays, all from the comfort of their vehicles.

On Friday, November 21 the media is invited to St. Paul’s Phalen Park between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to see how volunteers from NECA, Target and The St. Paul Police Foundation set up what has become a holiday tradition for thousands of holiday light seekers and those who want to give back to their community.

“We are all set to put up the displays and get ready to create holiday magic at Phalen Park,” said Kate Kelly, Executive Director of the St. Paul Police Foundation. “It’s just like the annual tradition of setting up your own holiday decorations, except it’s done on a much grander scale.”

All of the net proceeds of the event will be distributed to Union Gospel Mission, the Saint Paul Police Foundation, and the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy. To date, Holiday Lights in the Park has raised more than $336,000 to support local non-profit organizations that support the residents of the Twin Cities.
