Steven Anderson Named to Northwest Minnesota Foundation Board of Directors

October 27, 2014-Bemidji, MN-Steven A. Anderson of Warroad, Minnesota was recently elected to the Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) Board of Directors.

Anderson is a native of Grand Forks, North Dakota; he received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. He then attended the University of North Dakota School of Law, earning a law degree in 1986.

Since that time, Anderson has practiced law in northern Minnesota, with offices in Roseau and Lake of the Woods counties. He is currently the City Attorney for Warroad and Baudette.

NMF Board Chair Pete Haddeland said, "On behalf of the other members, I am very pleased to welcome Steve to the Northwest Minnesota Foundation board. He is certainly connected through his line of work, to the issues we face in our region. His expertise will be valuable in carrying out the mission of NMF."

Anderson is very active in his community. He has served the Warroad Area Community Fund as chairman, since its inception. He and his wife Holli have four children, Thomas, Christopher, Casey and Elise.

"Northwest Minnesota has been a great place to live, work and raise a family," said Anderson. "The emphasis to ensure quality of place is something I appreciate about the Northwest Minnesota Foundation. I have been affiliated with their work for a long time, so to serve on the board of directors is an honor."

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is a public, charitable foundation serving 12 counties of Northwest Minnesota by investing resources, facilitating collaboration and promoting philanthropy.
