Level 3 Predatory Offender Sought by Department of Corrections

St. Paul - The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) has issued a warrant for Level 3 predatory offender Howard Lawrence Wanna, age 38.

Wanna was not at his residence when his supervising agent did a routine check on Tuesday. He was last seen in the 2nd St. SW area of Hinckley, and he has connections to Pine County and the Twin Cities.

He is white, 6'0'', 202 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen with a shaved head.

Wanna is on Intensive Supervised Release for failure to register as a sex offender. His criminal history includes assault, possession of firearms, and fleeing police in a motor vehicle. His last sexual offense was in 1996. He has a history of sexual conduct with female acquaintances under the age of 14.

Wanna was released from the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Rush City on May 22, 2014.
