Ojibwemowin Rivitalization Celebration in Honor of Larry Stillday held in Red Lake - P17

An Ojibwemowin Rivitalization Celebration in Honor of Larry Stillday (Chi-Ma'iingan) was held in Red Lake on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Hospital Field area.

The event featured honor songs, dancing, a feast and giveaway. There were about 350 community members in attendance.

Spiritual Elder Larry Stillday passed away on May 20, 2014. He was a well respected Spiritual Advisor involved in numerous projects both on and off the Red Lake Nation. He had recently retired from Red Lake Chemical Health after more than fourteen years there, and was involved in the Ojibwemowin Revitalization Project in Red Lake.
