Roman Patrick Stately III

Roman Patrick Stately, III, age 50, of Red Lake, passed away at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND on Sunday, May 18, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born July 8, 1963 in Red Lake, Minnesota, the son of Roman “Ducker” Patrick Stately, Jr. and Gretchen (Brun) Stately.

Roman was a security guard for the hospital in Red Lake for 25 years. He enjoyed watching T.V. and taking naps. He loved yard work, cruising around, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Gretchen Stately, sister; Valerie Stately-Schoenborn, grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins

Roman is survived by his wife Sharon Stately, sons; Darren (Lorena) King, Sr., Jared (Melissa) Schoenborn, Marcus Schoenborn, Roman Stately, IV, Cedrick Martin, daughters; Sara (Rick) King, Ramona (Brandon) King, Hilary (Jon) Gurno, Lakeisha (Brian) Stately, Shannon (Mason) Jones, Alyssa Stately and Romi Stately, brothers; Greg (Debbie) Stately and James (Barb) Stately all of Red Lake, Minnesota, 17 grandchildren, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

A wake service for Roman will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Red Lake Community Center and continue until the 1:00 p.m., service on Thursday, May 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN. Pallbearers for Roman will be Mason Jones, Josh Stately, Trevor Schoenborn, Brent Schoenborn, Greg Strong, Anthony Morrison, Craig Maxwell, Brandon Neadeau, Sr., Lorena Sumner, Derek Johnson and Bruce Johns. Honorary pallbearers will be David Roy, Jim King, Sr., Donnie “Bo” Brun, Mike Johns, Corky Clark, Richard Roy, Dale Augustine, Bryan Schoenborn, Bruce Johnson and Anthony King. Alternates are Brian White, Sr. and Jonathan Gurno. Interment for Roman will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake following the service at the church.
