PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for preventative and emergency and repairs of Elderly residence.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Performs various minor plumbing tasks such as; leaks in kitchen, bathroom and utility faucets; cooper and PVC piping

• Install water heaters, water heater elements, water heater thermostats

• Install water pressure tanks, pressure switches

• Inspect and repair minor septic system problems, correct back up problems

• Repair broken windows, screens, doors, install entry locks and dead bolts

• Repair appliances such as ranges replace oven elements

• Perform minor electrical problems, light switches, outlets, install lighting fixtures

• Perform minor cabinetry and carpentry repairs. Build ramps and porches.

• Service heating systems

• Completes work orders in timely manner, follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and assist other maintenance workers when needed

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and heating

• Skill in hand tools

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid MN Driver's License and evidence of insurability

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Good communication and public relation skills
