BEMIDJI, MN, APRIL 1, 2014: Ministry of Caring will sponsor its 18TH annual caregivers’ conference Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Hampton Inn & Suites, located on the south shore of Lake Bemidji.

Conference time is 8:00 am to 4:15 pm. The fee of $85 includes a continental breakfast, breaks and lunch. Pre-registration deadline is April 24. A check made payable to Ministry of Caring in the amount of $85, mailed to Cheryl Yarnott, at 1520 Calihan Avenue, Bemidji. MN, will secure registration to the conference. Late registration fee is $100 after April 4. Student fee is $30.00.

This year’s conference theme -“The Power of Appreciation, Love and Forgiveness” presented by award winning author and national speaker, Chez Raginiak, is designed for caregivers: doctors, nurses, clinical psychologists, chiropractic staff, social workers, pastors, chaplains, and students of the same disciplines. It will provide an opportunity for attendees to explore six types of appreciation and learn how to achieve balance in their lives by incorporating personalized appreciation, unconditional love and healing forgiveness.

Chez Raginiak escaped Poland in 1985, as a political refugee. After spending six months in a refugee camp in Austria, he received American asylum and arrived in the USA with no money, no family, no education and no knowledge of the English language. In 1991, he became a citizen of the United States. Today, he is an award-winning author, speaker and owner of two companies. Mr. Raginiak is a member of the National Speakers Association, has a Bachelors degree in management and is enrolled in an MBA program.

Ministry of Caring of Bemidji was founded in 1997 by a group of energetic nurses, guided by a chaplain, who believed a yearly spiritual renewal opportunity was needed to remain effective in their role as caregivers. On average, one hundred caregiving professionals from Bemidji and surrounding areas annually attend Ministry of Caring conferences.

This year’s sponsors are: Goldpine Home • Northwest Technical College • Sanford Health of Northern MN and

St. Joseph’s Area Health Services.

This conference has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements for 6.8 contact hours. For a printable brochure, visit: http://www.ministryofcaring.net, or contact Cheryl Yarnott 218-444-7091.
