Carla Rose Brun, 54 of Red Lake died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at her home.

Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 28, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 10 am, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Red Lake Center and go until the time of service on Friday. Interment will be held at a later date under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Carla Rose Brun was born July 30, 1959 in Red Lake, MN the daughter of Mary Johns and Hank Cook. She was raised by her maternal grandparents Jimmy and Mary Jane Brun. She moved to Minneapolis in 1979 and moved back to Red Lake in 1994 where she worked on clean up crew and in 1997 started working for Food Distribution until the time of her death. She liked spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed being on facebook and going for rides. She loved spending time and talking daily on the phone with her granddaughter Rachel Elsie Jourdain. She also loved her little "Titty Tat" cat and was known for her famous potato salad.

She is survived by her father Hank Cook of Red Lake, step dad Joseph Johns, daughter Brandi (Gary) Jourdain, Jr., granddaughters Rachel Jourdain and Cynthia Jourdain-Lussier, brothers Mike (Darlene) Johns, Bruce Johns, Wendell Cook, Richard (Mary Ann) Cook, Duane Cook, Kevin (Sharon) Cook, sisters Michelle (Arn) Johns, Simone (Zonce) Johns, Nicole Johns, Sharon Cook, Donna Cook, uncles Billy (Betty) King, Donald "Dutch" (Geraldine) Brun, Fabian (Missy) Cook and Donald Cook, aunts Ina Mae McNeal, Elaine (Honey) Blanchard, Barbara Cook and Mary Ellen (Paul) Cook Stillday all of Red Lake.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Johns, daughter Marilee Brun, grandparents Jimmy and Mary Jane Brun and Teddy and Ida Cook, sister Diane Cook, special friend Dave Barrett, nephews Anthony Hegstrom and Darren "Scruff" Cook, special sister Valerie Stately-Schoenborn.
