FROM THE CITY OF BEMIDJI REGARDING FREEZING WATER LINES

Bemidji, MN – February 21, 2014

REMINDER – BEMIDJI CITY RESIDENTS

Due to extreme frost depth, many water lines have been freezing. In order to keep more lines from freezing, customers should take the temperature of the cold water coming out of your tap daily. If the water temperature is below 34º or 35º, let your water run at a stream the minimum size of a pencil (1/4 size) around the clock. Continue this until mid-April or until the water temperature comes back up continually above 35º. When low water temperatures are verified, residents will not be charged for the additional water or sewer used to keep their lines from freezing. However, you must call City Hall at 759-3564 to report water running.
