The Bemidji Area Arts Endowment (BAAE) now accepting project grant applications

BEMIDJI, MN, FEBRUARY 21, 2014 -- The Bemidji Area Arts Endowment (BAAE), a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation is now accepting project grant applications for its 2014 grant round.

Any school or 501(c)3 organization in the Bemidji area may request a BAAE Arts Project Grant. Applicants that are not schools or 501(c)3 organizations need to work with a fiscal agent. Individuals are not eligible to apply.

Grant applications are available at the Region 2 Arts Council office; Headwaters School of Music; Northwest Minnesota Foundation; Rail River Folk School; and the Watermark Art Center (formerly Bemidji Community Art Center, located in the Carnegie Building, 426 Bemidji Avenue).

The 2014 grant deadline is April 1, 2014. Grants up to $1,000 may be requested. Grant recipients will be notified by May 1, 2014.

During this 2014 grant round, grants will be made from the BAAE Family of Funds; HB & Ina T. Roholt Fund for the Arts; and the Richard & Pam Nelson Family Fund for the Visual Arts.

Two, $250 grants will also be made to qualifying orchestral string students, ages 8-15, from the Everett Wilimek Endowment Fund for Orchestral String Studies.

BAAE was established in 1998 to enable individuals, families, businesses and organizations to give tax-deductible financial gifts to the arts.
