Amy Klobuchar to stop in Bemidji on Tuesday

BEMIDJI-- U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., will stop at North Central Door in Bemidji on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. to tour the facility and discuss work force development with local officials.

Klobuchar is touring the northland on a “Competitive Agenda” tour, talking economic issues and promoting the “Innovate America Act” she introduced in the Senate. The bill is intended to boost science and math education, increase exports and eliminate regulatory red tape. Klobuchar will also stop at International Falls and Staples.

During the Bemidji stop, Klobuchar will meet with Mayor Rita Albrecht, State Rep. John Persell, DFL-Bemidji, notable businesspeople and other local officials.
