Lady Warriors battle with Lady Wolves in 72-61 win - P4

The Red Lake Lady Warriors fought a tough battle on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Red Lake, and it was close by 2 to 5 points throughout, until about the last 3 minutes, when Red Lake finally went up by ten.

At the half with nether team able to hit the majority of their shots, and a lot of solid defense by both teams, Red Lake led 24-19.

It wasn't until about the 3 minute mark in the second half that Red Lake finally went up by 12, where although Walker-Hackensack-Akley did make a run and get back to within 4, the Lady Warriors held and took the win 72-61.

Red Lake's last regular season game is next Thursday at Blackduck, and on the following week the Section Tournament will begin. They should be rated #1 in this tournament.

Last year they made history by winning their first ever tournament game, only to fall to Fosston in Thief River Falls. Fosston ended up winning the section tournament.
