Thunder, Lussier sentenced for burglary

BEMIDJI -- Two people who burglarized a home in Maple Ridge Township in November have been sentenced. Both plead guilty to second-degree burglary in December.

Robert Alan Thunder, 31, of Red Lake was sentenced on Monday to 43 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud. He was credited for 74 days time served. Thunder must pay a $50 fine plus $750 in restitution.

Kristie Leanne Lussier, 41, of Red Lake was sentenced in January to 23 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee, which has been stayed for 10 years. She must serve 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail and was credited for 58 days time served. Lussier has been placed on 10 years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine plus $750 in restitution.

Thunder and Lussier were suspected of burglarizing a home on the 23300 block of Highway 89 in Maple RIdge Township on Nov. 24. They faced a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
