Perpich Arts High School extends deadline for applications for 2014-15 school year

Perpich Arts High School, a statewide public school open to juniors and seniors throughout Minnesota who want to focus on the arts, has extended its deadline for applications for the 2014-15 school year until Feb. 14.

Application forms are available at perpich.mn.gov or at the front desk of the school. All applications are due no later than 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14. Applications may be dropped off or mailed to 6125 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley MN 55422; faxed to 763-591-4747; or emailed to admissions@pcae.k12.mn.us.

At the time of submission, each application must include the application form, a brief essay by the student, a letter of recommendation from an academic teacher and the student’s most up-to-date unofficial high school transcript from his or her home school.

Perpich Arts High School is an innovative, arts-based program that serves 11th- and 12-grade students from throughout Minnesota. Its arts programs are artscience, dance, literary arts, media arts, music, theater and visual arts. It is part of Perpich Center for Arts Education, a state agency created in 1985 by the state legislature to advance K-12 education by teaching in and through the arts. In addition to the high school, Perpich is home to a statewide arts education library open to all and an outreach program for professional development for all Minnesota educators and teaching artists.
