Leah Marie Fairbanks

Leah Marie Fairbanks, 16, of Cass Lake, MN passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2014 in Seattle, WA. Leah was born on November 28, 1997 in Minneapolis the daughter of Lee Fairbanks and Laurine Beaulieu.

She lived in Minneapolis, Detroit Lakes, Bemidji and Cass Lake. Leah attended school in Bemidji. She loved using her Ipod, listening to music, watching movies, going to pow-wows, being around and caring for people. She also loved babies, babysitting, beading, being around family and friends, internet surfing, and taking pictures. A love between a mother and her offspring is hands down the most beautiful thing that the creator created. It's the only thing that lasts from the moment you're born to the second you perish. That's the only true love. Love you always, Mom.

Leah was preceded in death by her grandma Barb Fairbanks, Papa Ken Beaulieu, Sr., grandma Edith Beaulieu, grandma Bonnie Fairbanks, grandpa Ken Conklin, uncle Edward Fairbanks, many other relatives.

She is survived by her mother Laurine "Juggie" Beaulieu of Cass Lake, father Lee Fairbanks of Fargo, dad Byron Deegan of Bemidji, brothers Samuel Staples III of Cass Lake, Justin Wright of Seattle, WA, Matthew Tom of Seattle, WA, nephew Alex Staples of Cass Lake, special friend/sister Alyssa Iceman of Bemidji, other relatives and many friends.

A wake service for Leah will begin at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2014 and will continue until the 11:00 a.m. service on Monday, January 19 all at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Father George Ross will officiate. Pallbearers will be Carl Fairbanks, Sr., Frank Tuttle, Julio Staples, Ray "Poppy" Brown, Kenneth Beaulieu and Jordan Deegan. Honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Fairbanks, Janice Fairbanks, Mardee Jones, Jessica Jones, Tiffany Hardy and Kayla Fairbanks.

Interment for Leah will be held in the spring time at the Sugar Bush Cemetery in Beltrami County.
