Jerome David Spears

Jerome David Spears, age 84, of Ponemah, MN Journeyed to the Spirit World on January 4, 2014 at the Red Lake Hospital.

He was born on August 27, 1929 in Red Lake, MN the son of Charlie Spears and Nancy Belinger-Trottwood.

Jerome was a man of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, logging, and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Spears; children: Joseph Spears, Virgil Roy, Jerome Roy, Darien Roy, John Roy, Madge "Magi" Spears, Elizabeth Roy and Virgina Roy; 23 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

An all night wake will be held on Wednesday, January 8, beginning at 12 P.M at the Ponemah Boys and Girls Club and will continue until time of service.

Funeral Services for Jerome Spears will be held on Friday, January 10, at 10:00 A.M. at the Ponemah Boys and Girls Club.

Honorary casket bearers will be: Adrian Spears, Joe Belgarde, Arnold Belgarde, AZ Ochoa, Tom Tucker, David Rose Bear, Gary Nelson, Brian Rose bear and Wobs Olson.

Casket bearers will be: Jerome Roy, John Hank Sutton, Virgil Roy, Lloyd Spears, Derrick Oliver, Tyrone Spears and Bill May.

Interment will follow at family burial grounds.
