Holthusen hits 2000th in 90-64 loss to Thief River Falls

On Friday, December 27, 2013, Red Lake's Ryan Holthusen scored his 2000th career point in their 90-64 loss to Thief River Falls at the Russ Smith Tournament.

Holthusen reached 1,000 career points in January 2012 when he hit 31 points in a win over Pine River in Red Lake.

In the tournament, the Warriors fell to Northern Freeze 81-77 in a thriller on Thursday evening.

Other games played on Friday included the Northern Freeze beating Sacred Heart 69-47 and Kittson County Central edging Crookston 69-66.

THE FINAL ROUND OF THE RUSS SMITH HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED ON SATURDAY DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST. THE GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 30th. THE SCHEDULE WILL LOOK LIKE THIS FOR MONDAY:

4:00 pm Kittson County Central vs. East Grand Forks Sacred Heart

6:00 pm Red Lake vs. Crookston (96.7 FM)

7:45 pm Thief River Falls vs. Northern Freeze
