New Staff Members Join First Nations Oweesta Corporation

LONGMONT, Colorado (December 19, 2013): First Nations Oweesta Corporation (Oweesta) today announced that Krystal Langholz and Evette Aragon have joined the organization as programs manger and administrative office manager, respectively.

“I am delighted to welcome Krystal and Evette as new additions to the team. I am confident they are an excellent match for Oweesta’s mission, which has a deep commitment to community development in Native American communities,” said Chrystel Cornelius, Oweesta executive director.

As programs manager, Langholz is overseeing the Financial Education and Asset-Building (FEAB) Program. Before joining Oweesta, Langholz was the founding executive director of Hunkpati Investments, a certified Native Community Development Financial Institution on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation. She has six years of experience working in community development and also served on the executive committee of the South Dakota Indian Business Alliance and the advisory board of the Northern Plains Initiative.

As administrative office manager, Aragon coordinates Oweesta’s meetings, serves as the organization’s main point of contact, and provides administrative support to the executive director and staff. She has more than eight years of experience in office management positions. Before joining Oweesta, Aragon was an executive assistant at Xcel Energy in Denver, Colorado.
