"Stuffed Toys with Cops"

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety once again received several bags of stuffed toy animals from the Bemidji State University Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) for distribution to Red Lake Nation Children. The toy animals were collected at several Bemidji State University Men's Hockey Games and were donated by spectators and fans alike as part of the University's dedication for providing Community Outreach Services to surrounding communities. The toys were delivered to the Police Department by BSU Volley Ball Coach, Wayne Chadwick. This has been the fourth year that the stuffed toy animals have been delivered.

The stuffed animals are carried in patrol and conservation officer vehicles alike and are passed out to younger children during stressful situations surrounding law enforcement involvement.
