Beltrami County Income Maintenance Office

The Beltrami County Income Maintenance Unit (IMU), located on the second floor of the Community Services Center in Bemidji, will be temporarily adjusting their office hours. Due to a backlog of applications, reviews, and case maintenance needs, the office will be closed to the general public on Thursdays through the month of January; with the exception of 12/26/13 to increase access during the holiday week.

Access to Emergency Assistance for Families (households with children) is available through the RMCEP office in the space next to the Income Maintenance Unit and will not be affected by the Thursday closings.

People are also encourage to apply online through the Apply Minnesota website at https://applymn.dhs.mn.gov/. Or, if applying for healthcare coverage, apply through the MNsure website at http://www.mnsure.org/.

Also, the IMU drop box along with applications and forms are available outside the unit lobby entrance. The Telephone Call Center will continue to operate as well as faxing capabilities will also remain available.

We recognize that a delay in our services is difficult for people seeking assistance and can lead to further difficulty during the holiday season. Please understand that while we have decided to temporarily decrease access it is with the purpose of providing a more timely issuance of assistance.
