Police Vehicle Bids

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety will be conducting a sealed bidding process open to the public for a number of excess vehicles that are no longer operational or usable for daily patrol operations. The majority of the vehicle’s do have sustainable engine and body damage and will be sold “As Is” with no warranties and will require the buyer to remove all decals or equipment that is law enforcement related.

The bidding process shall be open to the public for a period of 7 days beginning Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 8:00 am and will conclude Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 4:30pm. Persons interested in submitting bids can pick up the bidding forms at the Red Lake Department of Public Safety Telecommunications Office located in the Red Lake Criminal Justice Center.

The vehicles do have accompanying photographs with vehicle information and can be viewed at the location behind the Criminal Justice Center prior to submitting bids.

All bid forms must contain accurate information and shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and dropped off in the Telecommunications Center. The winning bidder will be notified via phone call on Thursday, November 7, 2013. The winning bid amount shall be paid by the following Thursday by 5:00pm, November 14, 2013. In the event the bid amount is not paid, the vehicle will be awarded to the next highest bidder. Purchasers shall be required to submit a money order or cashier’s check payable to the Red Lake Department of Public Safety prior to removing the vehicle.
