Angel Denise King, "Iigaashiyid Giizhig Kaandag Kive Saans" (Little Cedar Woman), age 14, of Redby Journeyed the Spirit World on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013.

She was born on September 29, 1999 in Bemidji, Minnesota the daughter of Leonard King and Salina Jones.

Angel attended school at Ponemah Elementary for the first years, then moved to Red Lake. Was currently in the 8th grade at Red Lake Middle School.

Angel was a beautiful young lady with a bright smile and a contagious laugh. She was a great, big sister to Hazel, Lilyawana and Valerie and a typical little sister to her big brother, Matt King. Angel loved to play jokes and be a jokester. She had many smiles. Angel had made a lot of friends through out her years, young and old. She loved to spend time by the lake at the cutoff with her grandmother Jacelyn Hobson, where she was learning how to cook and bead. She was very helpful around the house. She loved her hot cheetos. She would do just about anything for a bag of them.

She enjoyed singing to music, play on the computer, spending time with her siblings, friends and class mates, boxing and keeping the staff of the Middle School on their toes.

Survived by her mom: Salina (Josh Stately) Jones of Redby; her dad: Leonard (Bonnie May) King of Red Lake; brother: Matthew King; sisters: Hazel Sumner, Lilyawana Jones, Valerie Stately; half sister: Destiny and half brothers: Dominic and Ace; special brothers: Trevor Schoenborn, Damon Jones and Dennis King Jr .; special sisters: Skye King, Olivia Laduke, Tehya King, Alyssa Stately and Alyssa Sumner; Her grandparents: Jacelyn Hobson and Charlotte Clark both of Redby; many aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by cousin: Cedric Smith, grandparents: Edward Jones, August King Jr. Daniel C. Hobson and Clarence Clark Sr., great grandfather: David Jones Sr., special brother: Richard Strong Jr. uncle: Rupert “Jumbo” Downwind Jr., aunt: Jilleen Bright Star Jones, aunt: Valarie Stately and many more relatives and friends that she will be with at the Happy Hunting Grounds.

Traditional funeral services for Angel King will be held on Sunday, October 27th at 10:00 A.M. at The Redby Community Center.

Interment will follow at The Jones Family Burial Grounds in Redby.

All night wakes will be held on Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th beginning at 6:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Lelania Dolson, Joci Oakgrove, Jaci Hobson, Salina Jones, Kimberly Carl, Rose Barrett, Barbara King, grandma Charlotte, Allyssa Stately, Allyssa Sumner, Olivia LaDuke, Tasha Clark, Charlotte King, Tehya King, Charlotte Clark, Rose King and Skye King.

Casket Bearers will be Damon Jones, Trevor Schoenborn, Michael Barrett, David Barrett, Leonard King, Dennis King, Kevin Buckanaga, Doug Buckanaga, Timothy P.J. Carl and Joseph Jackson.
