Bemidji Law enforcement cracking down on distracted drivers


BEMIDJI — Motorists beware, law enforcement is cracking down on distracted drivers.

The Bemidji Police Department reported nine texting while driving or distracted driving offenses on Thursday.

Texting offenses were observed between 7 and 10 a.m. In addition to motorists, one pedal biker was warned.

The police department also issued citations Thursday evening for failure to yield and stop at a stoplight, loud exhaust and driving after revocation. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office cited one driver for illegal window tint.
