Tree trimming along Highway 1 near Redby begins Sept. 30

Work will take place on the Red Lake Reservation from Redby to the East Reservation line

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 1 near Redby will experience shoulder closures and brief delays beginning Monday, Sept.30, as maintenance crews trim and remove trees and brush from Redby to the East Reservation line.

Crews will be using an excavator with a brush mulching attachment and work is expected to take up to three weeks, weather permitting. When complete it will improve safety along the highway right of way.

Motorists should remain vigilant during construction and maintenance work. MnDOT urges drivers to use caution and watch for maintenance crews and equipment in the work zone.
