Ken Sayers age 37 of Walker Minnesota passed away unexpectedly August 27th at his residence.
Ken was born March 17th 1976 to mother Betty Sayers, in Minneapolis, at HCMC. He lived and grew up in the Walker area with his loving Grandparents George and Sarah, and brother Cameron. Ken attended school in the Walker Area, and in Deer River for a while as well.
He worked in the Leech Lake gaming Industry, and later became a constant care provider and loyal helper to his grandpa George until his passing in 2011. Ken enjoyed going to the casino's occasionally, and sitting and visiting with his many friends and family members. He was very kind and quiet, and often proceeded through whatever activities he endeavored upon in the same manner.
Ken was preceded in death by Grandpa George, and Grandmother Sarah, and his loving partner and friend Ramona Charwood. As well as Uncles and Aunts. He is survived his by mother Betty, and brothers Cameron and Michelle, Terry and Patrick Sayers. He is also survived by a dearly cherished son, Darren Charwood of Squaw Lake. As well as aunt Mary and family, numerous cousins and their families as well.
Ken was a well-liked community member of Old Agency, and was well known for his kind smile and laugh. On his journey through life, he made the most out of friendships forged, and gave freely of any help he could offer. He was very much loved by family, and very appreciated by friends and those he came in contact with. In his passing he leaves memories of good moments and stories that end with a smile or chuckle. He will be dearly missed. Our loss is the creator and his kingdom's gain.
A wake service for Kenneth will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2013 and continue until the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, August 31, all at the Onigum Community Center, Onigum, MN. Interment for Ken will be held in the Old Agency Catholic Cemetery, Old Agency, MN. Pallbearers are Cameron Sayers, Merle Cloud, Ernest Gale, Harlan Gale, Darren Sayers, Greg Escobido. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cordell Sayers, Betty Sayers, Terry and Patrick Sayers, Theresa Solis and Mike White.
